Southern Vermont Natural History Museum
Located at the Hogback Mountain Scenic Overlook, the museum houses a taxidermy collection of over 600 specimens, one of the largest collections of its type. See live hawks and owls and learn about the natural history of these beautiful and fascinating raptors. The collection has several unusual specimens of albino mammals and three extinct birds. Nice local hikes available. On Route 9, 13 miles west of Brattleboro and 5 miles east of Wilmington. Open daily Memorial Day thru late October, 10-5; Winter hours vary, best to call ahead.
